Andrew Vogel's story

As you may know, my wife Wendy was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2011. And so began what has been one of the most challenging & grueling experiences of our lives.

Through the course of Wendy's treatment -- tons of testing, chemotherapy, radiation, double mastectomy, and ongoing reconstruction surgeries -- we've relied on well-trained doctors & their staff, and modern medicine techniques to get Wendy back to health. It has been a long, difficult road.

We join other people as they continue their fight. And they rely on doctors to get through. And the doctors need support with dollars for research.

On Sunday, September 17, 2023 RIDE CINCINNATI FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH bicycle ride happens. Wendy and I will participate in that ride (yes, my fat ass is going to be on a bicycle all darned day!).

And we need your help.

Please consider sponsoring me or my team by pledging some money. It all goes to breast cancer research. To pledge money, go to https://ridecincinnati.org/rider/654 and click "Donate to My Ride" and fill out the form.

P.S. Here's a couple articles that appeared on the blog of CINCINNATI MAGAZINE for our 2014 & 2015 efforts: https://www.cincinnatimagazine.com/?s=chefs+against+cancer. Here's a CityBeat post about 2015 efforts: https://www.citybeat.com/news/local-chefs-cycling-against-cancer-12170296
